By booking and using The Saltwater Sauna as a Wellness Practitioner, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.

1. Agreement Overview

These terms are binding upon booking confirmation.

Designed to ensure safe, respectful, and appropriate use of The Saltwater Sauna and surrounding facilities.​

2. Permitted Use​
Examples of permitted use accompanying the sauna experience include; yoga, meditation, sound healing, breathwork (with safety measures in place), and non-invasive ceremonial or ritual activities.

Conditions:

Activities must promote wellness, mindfulness, and participant safety.
-
Activities must be non-disruptive and respectful to all.
-
Any unlisted activity requires prior written approval.​​​

3. Prohibited Activities​
The following are strictly prohibited:

Open flames, incense, candles, or combustible materials.
-
Consumption or facilitation of psychoactive substances (e.g. ayahuasca, psilocybin).
-
Beauty treatments or product use in the sauna.
-
Nudity, sexual practices, or inappropriate touch.
-
Religious conversion, indoctrination, or cult-like behavior.
-
Group breathwork that induces hyperventilation, altered states, or physical risk without written approval and safety protocols.
-
Use of unapproved essential oils or aromatic substances.
-
Alcohol or recreational drug use on-site.
-
Subletting, co-hosting, or sharing bookings without written approval.
-
Amplified music without written consent.
-
Smoke-producing practices (e.g. smudging, burning herbs) unless specifically approved in writing.

4. Participant Safety & Waivers​

Practitioners must:

Inform participants of sauna contraindications (cardiovascular issues, pregnancy, epilepsy, heat sensitivity, etc.).
-
Clearly explain that combining sauna with physical movement, breathwork, or rituals increases physical risk.
-
Screen all participants for health concerns and refuse participation to those at risk.
-
The sauna host reserves the right to deny access to any unfit or unsafe participant.​
​
5. Practitioner Responsibilities​
-
Must provide proof of valid public liability insurance and relevant qualifications at least 7 days before the session.
-
Must conduct a risk assessment for the planned session.
-
Must supervise all participants at all times.
-
Must comply with sauna capacity limits.
-
Must leave the sauna clean, tidy, and undamaged.
-
Responsible for participant behaviour and safety during the hire period.

6. Health, Safety & Hygiene
-
No sauna use is permitted under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or psychoactive substances.
-
First aid measures must be available or easily accessible.
-
All exits and pathways must remain clear.
-
Practitioners must supply their own towels, mats, and personal items unless agreed otherwise.
-
Any bodily fluids or spillages must be immediately cleaned and disinfected.

7. Site Access & Booking Terms​

Practitioners must strictly adhere to the booked time slot, including setup and pack-down.
-
Late departures may incur additional fees.
-
No unauthorised persons may access the site during the hire.
-
Any modifications or special requests must be submitted in writing and approved in advance.​
​
8. Damage & Liability​
-
Practitioners are financially responsible for any damage caused to the sauna, facilities, or equipment.
-
Practitioners accept full responsibility for participant safety.
The sauna host accepts no liability for injuries, accidents, or health issues during practitioner-led sessions.​
​
9. Cancellations & Refunds​
-
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to qualify for a refund in line with The Saltwater Sauna’s cancellation policy.
-
Late cancellations or no-shows may result in full fee forfeiture.
-
Weather-related cancellations are at the discretion of The Saltwater Sauna.

10. Code of Conduct​

Practitioners must always act with professionalism, respect, and integrity.
-
Unsafe, disrespectful, discriminatory, or abusive behaviour will result in immediate termination of the hire without refund.
-
Noise levels must remain moderate, especially in shared or outdoor spaces.​
​
11. Agreement Enforcement​
Non-compliance may result in:

Immediate session termination without refund.
-
Permanent ban from future bookings.
-
Financial liability for damages or health and safety breaches.​
​
12. Cold Water Immersion & Sea Access​
-
Practitioners must not facilitate sea swimming, cold water immersion, or contrast therapy unless:
-
They hold a relevant qualification (e.g. cold exposure coaching, open water safety, lifeguard training).
-
They carry specific insurance covering open water activities.
Practitioner Responsibilities:

Must screen participants for sea-related health risks.
-
Must inform participants:
-
Cold water immersion can lead to cold shock, hyperventilation, hypothermia, or cardiac arrest, especially for those with pre-existing health conditions.
-
Contraindications include cardiovascular or respiratory issues, high/low blood pressure, Raynaud’s disease, pregnancy, recent surgery, or fainting history.
-
Participation in sea swimming is voluntary and done at the participant’s own risk.
​The sauna host accepts no liability for sea swimming or cold water exposure incidents during practitioner-led sessions.​

13. Disclaimer​
By booking The Saltwater Sauna, the Practitioner agrees that:

They are fully responsible for the safety, wellbeing, and conduct of all participants.
-
The sauna host is not liable for any injury, illness, accident, loss, or damage arising from practitioner-led activities.
-
Participation in sauna sessions and related practices is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
-
Practitioners must ensure participants have read and agreed to the waiver form prior to attending.
-
Breach of these terms may result in cancellation of future bookings, financial penalties, or legal action.
